AVSI-USA invites you to become an active partner in promoting human dignity and building resilience in the face of poverty and marginalization. Whether by raising awareness, organizing a fundraiser, or hosting a conversation in your community, your initiative can contribute to real change. 

By telling stories, connecting people, and mobilizing resources, we create new opportunities for people to flourish, even in contexts of hardship or crisis. 

How You Can Participate 

We’ve created a simple pathway to help you take the first steps to success. 

1. Learn and Discern 

Start by exploring AVSI-USA’s initiatives and reflect on the project or issue that most moves you. Share what you learn with others, dialogue is the first step toward solidarity.

2. Choose Your Project 

Decide how you want to engage: 

• Organize a fundraiser 

• Host a gathering to share AVSI’s work 

• Launch a digital campaign 

• Collaborate with your church, school, or community group 

3. Reach Out to Us 

Contact the AVSI-USA team to share your idea. We’ll help you shape it and provide materials, updates, and support tailored to the campaign you choose. 

4. Gather and Prepare 

Form a small team of friends, colleagues, or classmates to help you organize. Use our toolkit to plan your event and keep things manageable. 

5. Act and Accompany 

Carry out your event or campaign and take time to listen, share, and connect. Your initiative becomes a space where stories of resilience can spark new relationships and commitments. 

6. Reflect and Share 

Every step in this journey is an opportunity to grow. After your event, reflect on what you saw and learned. Send us your photos, stories, or short write-up so we can all share in its success.
