our story
AVSI started working in Brazil in the ’80s, implementing urban development projects in low-income areas in the suburbs of Belo Horizonte. During these years we have grown and today we are present in 9 federal states (Roraima, Goias, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Piaui, Recife, Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará) with 34 projects. Today we have 437 partners, around 390,000 direct beneficiaries and a budget of US$ 9 million.
